As Louisville looks to host long-time conference rival Cincinnati tomorrow night in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, both teams will enter the contest unbeaten in league play. Of course, the Bearcats were upset this past weekend by Toledo which will no doubt take some of the shine off the game, but at the end of the day this is still an enormous match-up with significant Big East and BCS implications. There’s already been shots fired from the other side and with their best defensive player (Walter Stewart) out with an upper body injury, the Cardinals are favored and look to stay undefeated overall on the season. Here’s what the local and national websites and newspapers are saying about the game:

  • According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bearcats are “Troubled over Teddy Bridgewater”
  • Despite his injury – which will keep him out of tomorrow’s game – Walter Stewart is still trying to inspire the Bearcats
  • Here’s a solid video interview with UC head coach Butch Jones from the guys at Bearcat Lair, previewing Louisville
  • Tale of the Tape on Munchie Legaux vs Teddy Bridgewater from UC’s SB Nation site, Down The Drive. Conversely, here’s WDRB’s version of Tale of the Tape between the two QB’s, as written by Rick Bozich
  • Andrea Adelson, the Big East blogger on ESPN.com, believes the Cards will win tomorrow night
  • The Courier Journal’s CL Brown says that Teddy Bridgewater is a threat, dual or otherwise
  • Quick preview and breakdown from CBS Sports
  • Inside The Huddle looks at Louisville’s offense vs Cincinnati’s defense here and then flips it around and looks at UC’s offense vs UofL’s defense here
