We are about a week away from National Signing Day and Petrino and Co. are continuing to burn the midnight oil visiting recruits at their schools and homes trying to secure visits –¬†and commitments –¬†on the final weekend.¬† ¬†As it stands currently, there are five prospects¬†scheduled to vist this weekend.¬†¬†One of¬†the visitors, Nilijah Ballew¬†has been committed to UofL for months.¬† The other four prospects are:

3-star OG Quincy McKinney (Hutchinson, KS – JUCO)

*He played one year at NC State before transferring to JUCO.¬† He’s down to UofL, NC State, and East Carolina; other offers include Arizona State and Kansas State.¬†

4-star OT Lukayus McNeil (Indianapolis, IN)

*He committed to UofL under Strong, but decommitted and took other visits once he left.¬† It appears he’s down to Louisville and Indiana; other offers include Oklahoma and NC State.

3-star OLB Sharieff Rhaheed (Fort Pierce, FL)

*His UofL recruitment has been going on for what seems like years.  The one-time LSU commit is now down to the Cards and Arkansas; other offers include Michigan State and Missouri.

3-star DT Marcus Smith (Highland, KS – JUCO)

*He’s currently committed to Texas Tech and the staff hopes to flip him on his visit.¬†

LSL’s meaningless predictions: McKinney will commit to Louisville, McNeil will re-commit to UofL, and Smith will flip from Texas Tech and become a Cardinal.¬† Rhaheed will sign with Arkansas.

*There was a lot of confusion last night surrounding Marlon Mack, a 3-star RB from Sarasota, FL.¬† There were separate reports saying he committed to both UofL and USF.¬† However, according to USF’s Rivals.com site who quoted his coach, he committed to USF.¬† With that said, look for 3-star RB D’Andre Ferby to visit UofL and likely commit.¬† The 6’1, 220 lb. back is currently committed to WKU, but has expressed interest in UofL.

*The¬†pair of high priority WR targets Isaiah Ford and¬†George Rushing won’t make their decisions until Signing Day.¬† Ford is down to UofL and Virginia Tech, while Rushing is considering Louisville along with Missouri, TCU, and Wisconsin.
