All ‘Cardinal’ eyes will be on current 4-star commit Lamar Jackson as National Signing Day approaches. According to the Orlando Sentinel, he will officially visit Louisville on the 16th (the Duke game is the following day at the Yum!). He’s also pondering a visit to Mississippi State the next weekend. Another visit he will for sure make is to Florida on the 30th, the last weekend before NSD.
He will also be visiting Louisville on Jan. 16 and possibly Mississippi State on Jan. 23, and while Jackson said he is still firmly committed to UofL, the window of opportunity to be lured by new UF head coach Jim McElwain is open, even if it’s only just a crack.
As is always the case with recruiting, there’s another added wrinkle:
One other visitor who could throw a wrench into whatever plans Jackson might have in mind for UF is Bradenton IMG Academy quarterback Deondre Francois, who is committed to FSU. Francois will visit Gainesville officially on Jan. 23, a week before Jackson.
Should Francois flip that week, Jackson’s plans would likely remain focused on Louisville.
