One of the best recruits in UofL’s 2015 class is still committed to Louisville, but 4-star dual threat QB Lamar Jackson isn’t finished with the recruiting process. According to the Orlando Sentinel, he will visit Florida on January 23rd. He plans on visiting UofL and Mississippi State as well, but those dates haven’t been finalized.
Lamar Jackson has had his mind set on Louisville since he committed to the Cardinals on Aug. 30.
The Boynton Beach quarterback, who some have compared to Teddy Bridgewater as a high school player, has never really thought about any other school. He hasn’t had reason to.
That is until a visit last week from new Florida head football coach Jim McElwain, who hit the recruiting trail in earnest after being officially hired Dec. 6.
For now, Jackson remains committed to Louisville, but the door is open for a possible switch.
“For now, yeah,” Jackson said. “We’re going to just see how it is on signing day.”
