The perfect example of where the football programs are….
We know the recruiting business is cutthroat. Especially as National Signing Day approaches, schools nationwide are trying to secure commitments and/or flip prospects from one school to another. That leads us to Jaleel Hytchye, a CB from Ohio who UofL and UK both recruited. He made the mistake committed to the dark side and went on to say the “most annoying” part of his recruitment was a UofL coach trying to convince him that being a Cardinal was the better option. I’m not sure what’s funnier, Hytche saying “We’re winning championships at Kentucky” or the fact that a UofL coach said, “Who are you going to beat? Florida? Alabama?” Guess what Cat fans, the truth hurts. Louisville doesn’t play in the SEC and the Cards have more wins in that league over the last two years than UK does.
I’m so sure that a UK coach, or any coach for that matter, never bad mouthed UofL saying they ‘play in the Big East’ and that’ ________ coach is going to leave.’ Never. If you didn’t think you could love the staff anymore, this could do it. There’s nothing wrong with telling recruits the honest truth, and the truth is over the last decade UofL has won two BCS Bowls, finished ranked in the top 10 and top 25, and has generated a national buzz. The Cayuts do have a couple of Music City Bowl appearances to their credit though, that is, when they aren’t losing to Western and getting beat 40-0 by Vandy at home in front of 19,000 fans. If he thinks the recruitment by UofL coaches is annoying, how’s he going to feel about losing to Florida – the school Louisville beat in the Sugar Bowl – for the 27th, 28th, 29th, etc. time in a row?
UofL Football Coach is Brutally Honest about UK's Program,
