It seems as though each year, the football recruiting period gets crazier and crazier, especially leading up to National Signing Day.  NSD is a week from now, so you can expect more twists and turns along the way.  Case in point; just when it appeared that DC Todd Grantham was staying (after calling and visiting potential recruits) this happens….

During the show last night, we learned of a decommitment (that was later recanted)

Then, Redwine re-committed to UofL earlier today.

It’s been a bizarre week for Louisville.

With news swirling DC Todd Grantham was in talks with the Raiders, news broke Tuesday night that top DB recruit Sheldrick Redwine had de-committed from the Cardinals following a home visit with UofL and was ready to commit to Auburn, where he visited recently.

But AuburnUndercover reported that the Tigers weren’t prepared to accept his commitment while they sorted numbers.

So, after presumably removing his name at Louisville, Redwine dropped his own bombshell Wednesday morning, announcing that he’s back in the fold for the Cardinals and that he will sign with Bobby Petrino’s program next Wednesday.

Redwine’s re-commitment is a big deal for Louisville, who must replace all four starters in the secondary next season, including three underclassman who left for the NFL Draft.

3-star GG Robinson, who has been staunchly in Louisville’s corner, received a much coveted offer from (you guessed it, Auburn) and figures to be thinking about it, even though he tweeted this last night.
