Talented Receiver Showing Interest After Decommitment

On Thursday, four-star wide receiver Tony Stevens decommitted from Florida State. Stevens attributed Florida States’s lack of interest in him for the decommitment. After decommitting, Stevens tweeted out his new list of schools, which consisted of Louisville, Ohio State, USC, USF, and Georgia in no particular order. Stevens holds offers from all of those schools except USC.

Standing at 6’4, Stevens is a physically dominating receiver. ESPN’s scouting report on Stevens reads:

Given Stevens’ height and length this is a player that possesses very good movement skills and plays with good pad level. Is long and wiry with much needed bulk to be added. Is fluid and graceful for such a tall player at the position.

Tony Stevens is from Orlando, so the staff’s Florida connections are probably what got Louisville’s foot in the door. Steven’s being from Orlando also probably explains why USF is being listed. Although Ohio State, USC and Georgia will be tough competition for Stevens’s services, we have seen this staff beat out top programs for recruits time and time again.

Stevens’s highlights:
