Louisville senior point guard Peyton Siva continues to rack up preseason accolades and promises to be one of the finest backcourt players in the nation in 2012-2013. Without question, his career has seen its share of up’s and down’s, but it’s incredibly refreshing to see him finally pulling it all together for one last final run at what could be a national championship. Siva’s always been one of the most polite, well-rounded kids you’ll ever meet away from the floor, and it’s about time that people are taking note of his play on the court as well. The latest praise comes from The Sporting News, as they name him to their All-American 3rd Team. Here’s what they say:
For the last month of the college hoops season, Siva might have been the best point guard in the country. In nine postseason games, Siva averaged 11.3 points, 6.0 assists and 1.7 steals as he led the Cardinals to the Big East Tournament championship and then on an unexpected run to the Final Four.
