Two Louisville basketball signees, Shaqquan Aaron and Jaylen Johnson, earned individual accolades yesterday. Aaron was named to the 2014 Star Times boys team, and Johnson earned finalist honors for the Michigan Mr. Basketball award.
Here’s the blurb on Aaron:
6-6, Sr., Rainier Beach
Aaron’s ability to score is surpassed by none other, but his unique ability to see the court well and find an open teammate off the dribble separates the senior from other players. The Louisville commit averaged more than 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists this season, while collecting four triple-doubles.
And here’s the excerpt on Johnson:
Johnson, a 6-foot-9 senior forward committed to Louisville, averaged 13.1 points per game during the regular season for the 18-2 Grizzlies. He has also recorded double-digit rebounds in nine of his team’s 20 games.
