Quick Hitters: Cards Use Defense to Get Past Bellarmine, 65-46

Montrezl is quickly making a name for himself

*This game was ugly.  Period.  The Cards couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn from 3, too many free throws were missed, and rebounding effort was lazy.

*Gorgui Dieng was solid, posting a double-double of 14 and 12

*Montrezl Harrell led the Cards with 16

*Bellarmine out-rebounded the Cards, 45-38

*UofL was a horrendous 1-19 from 3

*The guards were extremely active defensively with Siva and Russ hounding the Knights’ backcourt all game long, forcing turnovers

*Waiting for Wayne Blackshear to take over….

*Luke Hancock still has trouble transferring his great play at practice to the game setting

*Zach Price didn’t play

*Angel Nunez played for about one minute, then exited after a defensive lapse

These guys should improve just as long as they can take time away from posting pics of themselves on Instagram all day long!

Haha, that time would be better serves in the gym shooting 3s and free throws.
