*Louisville wasn’t as crisp offensively as they were against UNI, but used a masterful defensive plan to beat NC State to advance to the Elite 8.

*Under Pitino, UofL has been to the Elite 8 in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2015.

*Louisville has been to 14 Elite 8s, which is 6th most nationally.

*This was Louisville’s 75th win in the NCAA Tournament.

*Coach Pitino is now 12-1 (6-1 at Louisville) in Sweet 16 games.  Five of those six wins while at UofL have been by double digits.

*Coach P is 7-4 (3-2 at Louisville) in Regional Finals.

*After a cold 1-5 start, Terry took over and made 5 of his next 10 shots, finishing with 17 points and 14 rebounds.  He also had 4 assists.

*Trez was a man the entire game, posting 24 points (on 9-12 shooting) and 7 boards.

*Quentin Snider had 14 points with 3 assists.

*Anton Gill came off the bench and just about won the game for the Cards, scoring 7 points in 7 minutes, including a driving layup that put Louisville up for good.

*UofL shot 50% from the field (27-54) and held the Wolfpack to just 38% (23-60).
