NCAA Football: Louisville at Virginia


*The win gave the Cards a winning season in their inaugural ACC season (5-3).

*Gerod Holliman continued his historic season, hauling in 3 more interceptions to give him 13. The single season NCAA record is 14.

*UofL leads the nation in interceptions with 21.

*DeVante Parker has his third 100-yard receiving game in 3 games.  Parker had 8 catches for 144 yards and a TD.

*Reggie Bonnafon played well in relief of an injured Will Gardner, going 4-5 for 69 yards.  The freshman threw 2 TD passes and ran for another.  He ran the ball 13 times for a team-high 76 yards.

*Gardner played well before getting hurt, going 13-19 for 188 yards.  He aggrevated his knee injury when he stepped into a throw late in the second quarter.

*The defense held BC to well below their rushing average of 275 per game, containing the Eagles’ attack to just 166 yards.

*Louisville picked off BC’s Tyler Murphy four times last night.  For the second consecutive game, the Cards forced the opposing QB to throw the most interceptions in one game in their career.

*UofL has a bye week and will play #10 Notre Dame (7-2) on the 22nd at 3:30 on NBC.
