*If you’re a UConn fan, you’re glad that Louisville will be leaving the league since the Cards have now beaten the Huskies 9 out of the last 10 times they have played, including 5 straight.

*The game was never in doubt and the Cards exploited UConn’s frontcourt with the aggressive play from Trez.  The big man muscled his way to another double-double against the Huskies, posting 22 points and 11 rebounds.  In his three games against Connecticut, he’s averaging rather robust numbers of 20 points and 11.7 rebounds.

*Russ followed up his career night with 19 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists.

*Chris Jones, who was named to the all-tournament team, scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.

*SVT was once again a force on the backboard, grabbing 8 rebounds.  Also noted was his much improved stroke at the free throw line, where he went 4-4.

*The Cards got 11 bench points (7 from Rozier and 4 from Blackshear).

*UofL out-rebounded the Huskies 38-33 and turned them over 13 times.

*The Cards shot 41% from the field, 31% from 3, and 73% from the foul line.

*Louisville trailed for just 27 seconds during the entire AAC Tournament.

At 29-5, the Cards will be making their 40th NCAA Tournament appearance, 5th most all-time.
