Big news on the recruiting front today as one of Louisville’s top 2013 point guard targets will makes his decision. According to Evan Daniels of Scout / Fox Sports, Ennis has made up his mind and will announce his decision live tomorrow night on Scout’s website at 7:00 p.m. The 5-star, 6-2, 175 lb Canada native will decide between Syracuse, Louisville, Memphis, Illinois and UCLA. He told multiple reporters just a few weeks ago that Louisville, Syracuse and Illinois were coming at him the hardest, but that all five schools remain in the mix. We’ve had Daniels on our radio show multiple times over the last several months (including this past Monday) and have repeatedly asked him about how serious of a factor the Cards were. He always acknowledged that the staff was actively going after him, but that it was likely a longshot that they could ultimately land his services. Syracuse has long been the favorite here and I’d be shocked to hear him decide on any other school tomorrow night. He’s consistently remained the top priority of the Orange’s staff for the last year or so. Originally from Toronto, Ennis attends St. Benedict Prep in New Jersey and plays his AAU ball for Canadian based CIA Bounce. This will likely leave three point guard targets left for Louisville: Chris Jones, Anthony Barber and Demetrius Jackson. It was rumored yesterday that Barber might visit Louisville on the weekend of September 8th and Jackson told Mike Hughes of Inside The Ville last month that he would visit sometime this fall, too. No word yet on whether Jones plans to visit, though he’s also been on record saying he will at some point.
