Louisville Sports Live Programming Note

Posted on Feb 9 2012 - 6:13pm by Ethan Moore

The major component we (Ethan & Brent) want to bring our listeners is the view of the Louisville fan during a program devoted ONLY to UofL athletics.  We have been fortunate enough to do that by way of the good folks at ESPN 680.  They are growing their brand in Louisville and we are excited to be a part of it.  As season ticket holders, we shed the “media” tag as we go to every game and cheer on our team as regular fans do.  We respect 680’s philosophy of taking to the air for post-game shows as soon as the buzzer sounds.  However, our fan-hood has gotten the best of us and we have struggled to start the show as soon as the final horn sounds, since we are at the games cheering on the Cards.  Having said that, we have decided to cease doing the post-game shows so that 680 can deliver a post-game program as soon as the buzzer sounds.  Now, after you are finished being upset and regaining your composure, there is good news:  Louisville Sports Live is permanently expanding to a 2-hour time slot on Wednesday nights from 7:00-9:00.   As always, we appreciate your support for the original “all UofL sports talk all the time” program and look forward to interacting with you on Wednesdays.

Thanks fellas – much appreciated. We loved doing the show, but it just got way too hard trying to leave home games early. They wanted to start the show the second the games ended which meant we had to leave the Yum with like 8 minutes left in the game…..not a good spot to be in if you're a true fan!
