Another day, another Trinity star gives his pledge to play for the University of Louisville. Trinity WR / QB Reggie Bonnafon was down in New Orleans last week to watch the Cards take on Florida and came away impressed with the home town team. Charlie’s Strong’s program has long been rumored to be the favorite here but with the sudden abundance of QB’s (Will Gardner, Kyle Bolin, Brett Nelson, etc.) it still seemed possible he could end up elsewhere. And apparently, Bonnafon, who played wide receiver at Trinity this past year, was told by Louisville offensive coordinator Shawn Watson that the team has recruited him solely as a QB. With Teddy Bridgewater likely to declare for the NFL draft with another successful season in 2013, that would leave the Cards with a loaded QB stable for the next several years. Bonnafon stands 6-2, 195 lbs and is rated by 24/7 Sports as the 12th best dual QB in the nation. He was also receiving heavy interest from Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee and UAB.
