Louisville Continues To Climb In ESPN Power Rankings

With another win this week at home against North Carolina, the Cards should continue to surge in both the national polls. However, they also continue to move up the national ESPN Power Rankings, as well. Last week they weren’t even included in the cumulative rankings but this week they make their first appearance at #23. Now, granted, this is likely due to the fact that teams like Arkansas, Nebraska and Wisconsin fell out of the rankings after disappointing losses, but whatever, we’ll take it. At this point, all this team can do is continue to win and make small moves each week. The rest should take care of itself.

Also, in ESPN Big East blogger Andrea Adelson’s updated conference power rankings, the Cards still sit at #1

1. Louisville (2-0). Teddy Bridgewater is turning some heads across the nation and that can only be a good thing for the Big East. Bridgewater had the first 300-yard passing game of his career, and the Cardinals beat Missouri State. A big test awaits Saturday against North Carolina. Previous ranking: 1.
