On Friday night there were rumblings that Lexington Catholic QB Kyle Bolin, a 2013 Louisville commit, had injured his left knee in a game against Boyle County. He shot out a tweet earlier this morning letting fans know that x-rays came back negative, however, after an MRI exam shortly thereafter, he received the news that he had indeed torn his ACL. He becomes the second straight Louisville QB commit to tear his ACL, following in the steps of now-redshirted freshman, Will Gardner. Bolin had led Lexington Catholic to a 6-1 record and passed for 1,508 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Bolin has become legendary for his love of all things UofL and he’s even been a secret weapon on the recruiting trail by always talking up the program and coming in for visits while other high school prospects are on campus. Safe to say that all of Card Nation will be rooting for Kyle as he makes his way back from this injury.
