Louisville Commit JaQuan Lyle Will Transfer To Huntington Prep

Louisville’s top commitment for the 2014 class, combo guard JaQuan Lyle, will transfer to Huntington Prep for his senior season. Lyle currently attends hometown Bosse High School in Evansville (IN) but will join a stacked HP squad that also includes Josh Perkins (an uncommitted top-25 point guard from Colorado), Providence commit Jalen Lindsey (# 32 overall according to ESPN’s top 100), Louisville target Angel Delgado (63rd overall in ESPN’s top 100) and rising 2015 wing Montaque Gill-Ceasar (#17 overall in ESPN’s top 100). The move shouldn’t come as a surprise since many top-ranked recruits have followed the prep school route over the last several years in order to play against better competition and ready themselves for the step up to the college game. Lyle, who already has a college-ready body should benefit greatly from the jump and will be mentored by well-respected HP head coach Rob Fulford. Also, there were a few sparse rumors floating around yesterday that the move could mean trouble for Louisville and Lyle’s commitment, but the 6’5, 185 lb senior-to-be quickly squashed any all speculation:
