Louisville Basketball Scrimmage Dates Set

You gotta love this time of the year. You have the football team entering into its third week with a well-respected opponent coming into town, and now basketball is literally  right around the corner. The UofL Sports Information Department just shot out an email that officially announced the times and dates for three different intra-squad UofL men’s basketball scrimmages. The first scrimmage will be held on October 13th (the first official day of practice and sort of our alternative to midnight madness, if you will) and the time is yet to be determined so as to not conflict with the football game against Pittsburgh. This scrimmage will also be part of U of L’s “Return to the Nest” Homecoming on Main festivities, which will include activities on the Norton Healthcare Plaza of the KFC Yum! Center prior to the game. The final two scrimmages will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for lower middle and corner seats and $5 for the end-zone. Tickets will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 at both U of L Ticket Offices, located near Gate 2 of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium off Floyd Street; and on the third floor of the Swain Student Activities Center. Both locations are open weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the KFC Yum! Center ticket office, as well as before and during the Cardinals’ next two home football games against North Carolina on Sept. 15 and USF on Oct. 20. Cardinal fans may also purchase tickets by visiting Ticketmaster online, calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, including statewide Kroger locations. Convenience fees are applied with Ticketmaster orders. Further information can be obtained by calling the U of L ticket office at (502) 852-5863.

Bring on the fall……..
