Leading Louisville wide receiver James Quick has been suspended indefinitely by Head Coach Bobby Petrino for a violation of team rules. Unspecified reasoning at the time it was announced, Jared Stillman of ESPN Louisville 680 tweeted this shortly after news broke.
This is is the second violation this season for Quick as he was also suspended prior to the start of the season and had to work his way back into Petrino’s lineup.
We aren’t likely to get an update until Petrino’s Monday presser. Louisville loses DeVante Parker this season and will be pretty thin at wide receiver next season. Quick, would enter his junior campaign as Louisville’s go to target at the position. Texas A&M transfer JaQuay Williams, who is sitting out this season also should be a factor.
Hopefully Quick can become less of a distraction off the field and more productive on it.
