Fransisco Garcia, who will be entering his ninth year in the NBA, has chosen to resign with the Houston Rockets.  First reported by Yahoo! Sports, the terms of the contract is two years for $2.6 million – a bargain to say the least.  Garcia had become a staple in the Sacramento community before being traded to Houston.  In his first few weeks with the Rockets, he spent most of his time watching from the bench.  When Houston experienced some injuries in the front court, Garcia made the most of the opportunity, filling in at the 2 and 3.  However, he really came into his own with the Rockets during the playoffs when he started 3 games in the Oklahoma City series and averaged 10.7 points per game while shooting 46% from 3 during the entire series.  In his 8 years in the league, ‘Cisco is averaging 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

Peyton Siva begins his quest to make the Pistons Sunday at 5 when his summer league team takes on Brooklyn in Orlando.

“You’re definitely out here playing for a job,” Siva told “Everybody’s competing their hardest. But you’ve just got to go out there and play the game. You’ve played it your whole life and you just continue on that route.”
