Cards fans need to get used to hearing the name Danuel House
Last month Ethan got to see some of the stars of 2012 up-close-and-personal on his visit to Charlottesville, Va, for the NBA Camp; but until last night I hadn’t gotten a chance to see any Louisville targets myself. ESPNU began coverage of the Super Showcase in Orlando and in their highlight game Louisville fans got to see several key recruits in action, as the Georgia Stars lost a close OT game to Texas Pro, 79-77. Among the UofL targets featured were Alex Poythress, Chicken Knowles (who actually made it clear afterwards that the interest level from Louisville has been minimum). Marcus Hunt, Kenny Gaines, and in my opinion, the best player on the court last night — Danuel House. House was a BEAST all night long and scored from all over the floor, including 27 for the game and 6 straight in OT. He flashed an unstoppable game off the dribble and was able to dominate smaller guards with his wiry 6-6 frame. His size also allowed him to rise up and shoot over smaller defenders on the perimeter and go around the slower interior players of the Stars. The full package who seems to have a college-ready game at this point despite being only 17 years old, House who is rated #26 by Rivals, #33 by Scout and 70th by ESPN, should see his stock soar after his dominating performances this July. The gym was packed with a who’s-who of college coaches last night and House didn’t disappoint.
Here’s another story from Hardwood Elite on his dominating performances this year.
Back of the House, baby.
