Two Cardinals made news Sunday night when they took to their Instagram accounts to make their future intentions known.  First team All-AAC Safety Calvin Pryor announced that he will declare for the NFL Draft.  The 6’2 208-pound Port Saint Joe, FL product was known for his thunderous hits and big play abilities and finished second on the team in tackles with 75 and third on the team in interceptions with three.  He also had 5.5 tackles for a loss.

His teammate, DE Lorenzo Mauldin announced that he is returning for his senior season. The 6’4 243-pound beast from Atlanta was second on the team in sacks with 9.5, tied for 3rd in TFL with 12, and tied for second in forced fumbles with 3.  With a healthy Jamaine Brooks and DeAngelo Brown returning to the fold, the Cards DL will be a position of strength. And with the move to the ACC, UofL needs the talent and leadership of Mauldin in 2014.

Other Cards Bridgewater, Copeland, and Parker are now on the clock to make their intentions known.  Underclassmen wishing to declare have until January 15th to make their decision.
