While it originally looked like Rick Pitino and the Louisville program were going to have a big weekend on the recruiting front by bringing in stud 2012 prospects Shabazz Muhammad, Winston Shepard, and already-committed Negus Webster-Chan, now it looks like things have changed. It appears that Shepard (Findlay Prep, Nevada) will no longer be making the trip in to Louisville. However, we’ve learned that the recruiting weekend has somehow gotten bigger for Pitino and his staff. Webster-Chan and Muhammad will still be attending Sunday’s white-out game against Pitt, but they will also now be joined by 5-star 2012 commit Rodney Purvis (Upper Room Christian, Raleigh, NC) and 5-star 2012 wing prospect Gary Harris (Hamilton Southeastern, Fishers, In). Also, it looks like Harris will be bringing along his teammate, 2013 5-star up-and-comer Zak Irvin. What looked like a huge recruiting weekend to start, has suddenly gotten even bigger. Stay tuned throughout the weekend for more info.
